Watching the golden hues radiating from the afternoon sun across the red rock, might just be one of my favourite sights of the Pilbara yet.

‘The Last Race of the Day’ captures race number 8 of the 2026 Roebourne Cup.

The piece captures horse number 3 at the forefront of the piece with dust seen to be kicked just ahead of them indicating a short second from leading the race. Turns out Zadar Rock, Horse Number 1, took the victory this race, however, still a cool moment captured in a painting.

Being part of the 2026 Cossack Art Prize, Western Australia, ‘Echoes of Red Earth’ has become quite a significant piece within my collection thus far.

I captured this image one day exploring Readerhead lookout over settlers beach in Cossack. Turning my back on the extraordinary seascape, I stumbled upon the windy uphill track that lead us to this spot. The road happens to be named Perseverance street which then leads onto Readerhead road, something I found quite immusing considering the drive conditions.

A road winds through rolling red rock hills blanketed by green thickets left to grow by the last rainfall. A snippet of Settlers beach is captured to the right of the painting with pink and orange hues scattered just above, indicating the sun setting behind the viewer.

Original artwork inspired by the gorgeous Western Honey bees I happened to stumble upon one afternoon, hovering around a golden dewdrop planted in our backyard. Wrapped with a textured white frame, this piece is ready for those who may enjoy taking the time to wonder, perhaps in their own backyards, observing the little moments life has to offer.

‘The Land Wakes First’ is an impressionistic acrylic work that reflects a moment of quiet transition in the Pilbara landscape, where night and day briefly coexist. Inspired by a red rock formation along the Fortescue River, this piece explores the presence of land as something enduring, rhythmic, and present. The warm bands of colour moving across the canvas evoke both time and the energetic intensity held within the landscape.

The shadow cast over the rock as the sun rises creates a moment in which light erodes the dark, while the lingering moon in the early morning sky remains.

This piece aims to carry memory, stillness, and transformation, in acknowledgement of the Traditional Owners of this land, the Yindjibarndi people. The Fortescue River region and surrounding Pilbara country are strongly connected to Yindjibarndi cultural, spiritual, and ancestral traditions. Through colour and contrast, this work invites viewers to consider the land not only as a physical environment, but also as a psychological and cultural presence.

Hearsons Cove is an artistic interpretation of the much-loved local beach, known for its calm, swimmable waters in the Dampier and Karratha region. This piece reflects the gentle movement, soft colours, and relaxed atmosphere that make the cove a treasured spot for locals and visitors alike.

Grevillea is an abstract interpretation of the vibrant native bloom, highlighting its intricate patterns and flowing, organic forms.

Sea Shell is an abstract painting inspired by the intricate ribbing and sculptural form of a fossilized shell, capturing the natural textures and quiet beauty of something shaped by time and the sea.

Miss Hibiscus is a delicate artwork inspired by the iconic tropical flora, a garden staple, which resembles the warmth of Northern Australia.
